Private network delivery No marina WiFi required Battery-powered autonomous sensors Built for unattended vessels

Getting Started

How does ARMIT help protect my boat when I’m not around?

ARMIT systems are designed to monitor the conditions that matter most on unattended vessels — including bilge water, battery voltage, shore power status, motion, intrusion, temperature, humidity, and other onboard events depending on the installed devices. If a monitored condition changes, ARMIT delivers an alert so you can respond quickly before a small issue becomes a major loss.

What makes ARMIT different from consumer smart devices or marina WiFi-based products?

ARMIT was built for real boats in real environments. The system does not depend on marina WiFi, customer networking, or improvised smart-home hardware. Devices are battery-powered, engineered for unattended operation, and delivered through the EarthSmart Maritime Network™ and the ARMIT monitoring environment.

What is the EarthSmart Maritime Network™?

The EarthSmart Maritime Network™ is the connectivity layer that allows ARMIT systems to deliver alerts, telemetry, and system awareness across covered maritime areas without relying on local dockside internet infrastructure. It is part of the broader ARMIT / EarthSmart operating environment for connected marinas, waterfronts, and vessels.

Are ARMIT systems compatible with all boats?

ARMIT systems are designed to support a wide range of vessels, from small recreational boats to larger yachts and multi-system marine environments. The right device mix depends on the vessel layout, protection goals, and the conditions you want to monitor.

Network, Alerts & Monitoring

Do I need marina WiFi or onboard internet for ARMIT to work?

No. Core ARMIT monitoring is designed to operate without marina WiFi and without requiring the customer to provide onboard internet or network infrastructure. That is one of the core advantages of the system.

How quickly will I be notified if bilge water, motion, intrusion, or other monitored conditions are detected?

ARMIT systems are engineered for rapid alert delivery. Once a monitored device reports a state change, alerts are pushed through the ARMIT delivery path so the customer can be notified quickly. Exact timing can vary by the event type, installed device, and communication path, but the system is built for immediate awareness — not delayed batch reporting.

What kinds of alerts can I receive?

Depending on the installed devices, ARMIT can provide alerts for bilge events, shore power loss, battery conditions, vessel movement, hatch or intrusion events, temperature changes, humidity changes, and other critical monitored states.

What is myARMIT™?

myARMIT™ is the user-facing monitoring environment where customers can view system status, device health check-ins, alert activity, and account-level monitoring visibility. It serves as the command environment for understanding what is happening across your installed ARMIT systems.

How does the myARMIT™ portal improve the monitoring experience?

myARMIT™ gives customers a centralized view of their system. It allows you to review alert history, view ongoing health and status reporting, organize monitored assets, and maintain visibility across one or multiple installed ARMIT devices and vessels.

Installation & Setup

Can I install ARMIT sensors myself?

Some ARMIT products are designed for straightforward DIY installation, while others are better handled by an ARMIT dealer or qualified marine technician depending on the vessel, the number of devices, and the scope of protection being deployed.

Do you have installers or local dealers?

Yes. ARMIT works with dealers, installers, and marine professionals. If you want help selecting or installing the right system, contact the ARMIT team and we can help route you to the right path.

How is a new ARMIT system activated?

Systems are activated through ARMIT onboarding and provisioned into the monitoring environment once installed and connected. Activation ties the installed devices into the appropriate monitoring and alerting path.

How long do the sensor batteries last?

Battery life depends on the device type, reporting behavior, installation environment, and how often the system experiences alert events. ARMIT devices are designed for long-life, unattended operation and to reduce the burden of constant maintenance.

BilgeMAX & Vessel Protection

How do I test BilgeMAX after it is installed?

BilgeMAX systems should be tested to confirm that the monitored condition produces the expected alert and that the installation path is functioning properly. In many configurations, customers can test the float-based trigger path directly to verify alert delivery and system operation. Testing should always end with returning the float or trigger state to normal operating position.

Where should I install the BilgeMAX float and sensor?

BilgeMAX placement depends on bilge geometry and the earliest meaningful point at which water rise should be detected. In general, the float should be installed where it can detect the intended water event, while the connected sensor should be placed in the highest, driest, and most secure practical location appropriate for the boat.

My boat has multiple bilge compartments. Do I need more than one BilgeMAX monitoring point?

In many cases, yes. If your vessel has multiple isolated or risk-relevant bilge compartments, multiple monitoring points may be required for full coverage. The right configuration depends on vessel layout and monitoring goals.

Can ARMIT monitor more than just bilge conditions?

Absolutely. BilgeMAX is only one part of the broader ARMIT ecosystem. Customers can also monitor battery health, shore power status, motion, intrusion, temperature, humidity, and other onboard conditions depending on the installed system.

Expansion, Voyager & Multi-Asset Use

Can I add more sensors later?

Yes. ARMIT systems are designed to expand over time. Many customers begin with a starter kit and later add MAX Series devices or broader vessel protection layers as their needs evolve.

What is Voyager Connectivity™?

Voyager Connectivity™ extends the monitoring environment beyond fixed coverage zones by adding a continuity layer between the vessel, installed ARMIT devices, and the broader EarthSmart Maritime Network™. It is designed for customers who want persistent system awareness as their vessel moves beyond the dock or beyond covered infrastructure zones.

I own a marina or manage multiple boats. Can I manage multiple devices and monitored assets easily?

Yes. ARMIT and myARMIT™ are designed to support more than a single vessel use case. The system can be deployed across multiple boats, marina environments, and other monitored assets depending on the operating model and deployment scope.

Do you support marinas, host partners, and marine service professionals?

Yes. ARMIT supports private vessel owners, marina operators, host partners, marine professionals, and dealers looking to improve visibility, monitoring, and response across connected marine environments.
